These policies have been developed to meet the Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN) recommended practice guidelines, the Centre for Disease Control Infection Prevention guidelines and ORBIS Policy. Each competency is presented in a check-list format which should be filled out by a nursing supervisor and adapted according to the specific hospital setting.
