- This case demonstrates herpes simplex virus corneal dendrites seen both in the clinical picture and after staining with fluorescein.
- Topical steroids would be contraindicated and antiviral agents should be started immediately.
- Dendritic corneal lesions can also be seen with tyrosinemia, Epstein-Barr virus, healing epithelial defects, and zoster infections.
