This child was brought in with a complaint of abnormal eyes since birth. Posterior segment findings are within normal limits. Systemic evaluation showed no gross abnormal findings. Parents are concerned about the occurrence of a similar anomaly in future babies.

1. This midline defect is likely to be:

a. complete eye examination with a careful evaluation of the optic nerves
b. imaging with a CT or MRI
c. tap of the mass to drain any fluid
